Early medieval European turnshoes. Based on archaeological evidence referenced in the textbook “Leather and Leatherworking in Anglo-Scandinavian and Medieval York” by Quita Mould. I made a couple of pairs using vegetable tanned cowhide. I used these shoes as part of my living history kit for many years, until they withered away into archaeological finds themselves.
