The Dryad is a study in the malleability of leather. It has been reworked and changed over time, but has retained the natural patina of vegetable tanned leather with sun exposure. The fitted corset design is hand stitched and hand tooled with a freehand design of a bare winter deciduous tree. The tabard skirt depicts the mythological forms of dryads, humanoid creatures whose hands and feet are in the process of becoming roots and branches. The shoulder pauldron and side skirt panels were made with a wet forming technique.
In September 2025, I will be showing a new and updated version of The Dryad.
